This course is suitable for all delegates working within the voluntary and independent sector supporting 'Adults at Risk of Harm' (formerly Vulnerable Adults), in a range of settings.
This is a pre-requisite course for other ERSAB Level 2 and above learning.

define the MCA and how it protects people’s rights and keeps them safe
explain the 5 principles of the MCA
demonstrate the practicable steps to assess capacity
recognise the role of advocacy
summarise best interest decision making.

This course is equivalent to ERSAB Level 2 Mental Capacity Act 2005 3 hour virtual course and either of these courses or other Mental Capacity Act training are acceptable as pre-requisites for ERSAB Level 2 Reporting Concerns and Level 3 courses
