Course aim
To raise the profile of the ERSAB Safeguarding Adults at Risk Procedure and apply this to:
  • reporting a concern and
  • completing Form 1 (Concerns Form)
Course details

This course is suitable for all delegates working within the private and independent sector supporting 'Adults at Risk of Harm' (formerly Vulnerable Adults), in a range of settings.

This is a pre-requisite course for further learning provided by the Board.

Course content:

  • Engage with delegates from a range of agencies and disciplines
  • Check out existing safeguarding knowledge and understanding
  • Mental Capacity Act 2005 delivered at Foundation Level
  • Applying the Mental Capacity Act in practice
  • Revisit current knowledge and understanding
Target audience
  1. This course is a pre-requisite to attending Level 3 Safeguarding
  2. Are new in post or refreshing knowledge
  3. May need to meet various standards/qualifications/continual professional development.
Learning outcomes
  • To be able to use the ERSAB Safeguarding Adults at Risk of Harm Procedure.
  • To be able to complete Form 1 to a high standard.
