Course aim
To equip delegates with the skills, knowledge, and training tools to deliver ERSAB Level 1 Recognising Adult Abuse Training, as an ERSAB Cascade Trainer within their own agency.
Course details

This course is suitable for all delegates working in the statutory, voluntary and independent sector, working with 'Adults at Risk of Harm' (formerly Vulnerable Adults), in a range of settings.

Target audience
  1. Must have completed ERSAB Level 1 (ideally virtual delivered by an ERSAB Trainer but eLearning or Workbook will be acceptable when this is not available) and L2 MCA and ERSAB L2 Reporting Concerns
  2. Must have managers approval to a) be a cascade trainer for ERSAB and b) deliver in-house training
  3. Must be confident when speaking in front of people, especially within your own agency.
Learning outcomes

By the end of the course delegates will:

  • Know the local and national policies, procedures and legislation which underpin the course and safeguarding adults
  • Be familiar with course content and have the practical and facilitation skills to start delivering it
  • Understand the cascade trainers role in championing safeguarding adults within their work place and developing everyone’s understanding of their responsibilities in safeguarding adults
  • Be part of a supportive community of ERSAB Cascade trainers.
