SAFEGUARDING IS EVERYONE’S BUSINESS

No child or adult should be made to feel unsafe. Everyone has a right to be safe from harm and abuse. All of us have a role to play in safeguarding, never more so than during COVID-19.

Community Response Hub

As further measures are put in place to delay the spread of COVID-19, local people have already started to pull together to arrange help in their area for those who need it.

Not everyone has a network of family, friends, neighbours or carers to call upon.

In response, the council, in partnership with the HEY Smile Foundation, has created a which will connect the most vulnerable people in the East Riding with those that can provide the help and support they need, which could range from picking up medication or shopping, to a telephone call if they are feeling isolated.

 Community Response Hub

The dedicated telephone number is (01482) 393919 and it will be operational between 9am-9pm Monday to Friday and 9am-6pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Email requests are also available and all emails should be sent to:

Support for Voluntary Community Sector

The Coronavirus Community Support hub has been launched as a positive response to the current Covid-19 situation in the East Riding.

It offers a platform where cross-sector communities can connect, knowledge share, make offers of support and discover initiatives within their local areas. With an emphasis on enabling and removing barriers, the hub is designed to put the health and well-being of individuals as a priority during these changing times.
